Frolicking in Fall Leaves
In this presentation, we are going to have fun painting the vibrant colors of fall in layers without getting mud. We will paint on Yupo paper to take advantage of its staining quality. You may draw your own design or use the line drawing that will be provided. Let’s frolic!
We will create a mockingbird with autumn foliage in the background. We will mask the bird first and after it dries we will create the background. We will use mostly alcohol inks however we will use some prisma color markers. We will create the image on NARA white paper.
Just look at this lucious Lavender painting! In this demonstration we will be playing around with layering of detail to add dimension to our art. We will be working with a wet into wet background using a rigid card and brush for shadows. Then, painting with alcohol inks in the foreground and lifting inks for highlights.
Using Translucent Film to Create Abstract Florals
We’ll use both sides of Grafix Film or Yupo Transparent Paper to create a flowing background and unique florals. Two different backgrounds and two different florals. A tribute to the blooms that are just starting to fade.
Metal Embossing and Alcohol Ink
In this demonstration and lesson we will be exploring the ancient art form of metal embossing.
