Alcohol Ink Demo Painting – “Cat” Time Lapse Video

by | Mar 8, 2017 | Alcohol Ink, Alcohol Ink Art Demo, Animals, Blending, eLesson, Lifting, Painting Subjects, Pouring Ink

In this video you will find a quick Alcohol Ink Demo Painting of a Colorful little cat.

The artist is working with Alcohol Ink on Yupo paper creating a wet in wet background using multiple colors. (Sunshine Yellow, Pool Blue, Twighlight purple, Pitch Black and snow cap).

Once the initial layer of color is down, 91% alcohol is used to soften and create texture, then a Blender Pen to give the appearance of fur and soften the color changes. It takes multiple layers of blending and adding ink.

Once the initial colors are down a black sharpie is used to work in some final details, then for the finished work snowcap is used to soften the fur.

With the Artist’s permission, please feel free to give this painting a go yourself, but we would LOVE for you to share your final results on our  AI Facebook group.
