I desire to create art that feels unbridled and free.
My creations capture energy, movement, and flow, celebrate my natural curiosity, and create a sense of wonder. I love layering and blending colors and mixing mediums creating magical experiences with my art. I specialize in abstract art whether I am painting in alcohol inks, encaustic wax, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, or digital mediums.
My Artistic Journey
I’ve been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, consultant, principal, change agent, and curriculum supervisor within elementary and middle schools in New Jersey, California, and New York City.
My Ph.D. in Education centered on adult learning theory and the overall adult learning experience. I bring this doctoral experience into all of my e-courses and relationships with my students.
Over the last few years, I’ve gained an impressive following of artists interested in my alcohol ink techniques. Since October, 2015, I’ve taught over 400 students to learn to go with the flow in abstracts, blooms, expressive landscapes, and creating gorgeous seas and skies.
A portion of the proceeds from Energy.Motion.Flow: The Beauty of Alcohol Inks and Beyond Ecourse will be donated to She’s The First whose primary focus is to provide scholarships to girls in low-income countries, fostering first-generation graduates and cultivating the next generation of global leaders. As a lifelong educator, I feel very connected with their mission.
