I’m so pleased to announce this week’s Artist of the Week, Sharen Ak Harris! Sharen is a plein air artist and a founding contributor to the Alcohol Ink Art Community! See her profile here.
“I am an alcohol ink artist and instruction with several studios. One in Alaska where I spend my time plein air painting when it isn’t winter. Another is in Arizona where I paint the great Southwest. My third studio is the state I was born, Massachusetts and I love painting the fall colors. I teache workshops and demonstrate art techniques thought the US.
My paintings reflect my life and the world around me. I try to stimulate the senses of the viewer with a stroke of paint. I want the viewer to almost taste my lushes fruit, smell my flowers, feel the heat of the day or the cold of the arctic winds. There is no limit or boundaries to what I paint.” – Sharen Ak Harris
Sharen has won many awards for your masterful art and has been featured in several art magazines, shows and TV.
