No self-promotional posts are allowed on the main Facebook discussion/newsfeed. This discussion is focused on learning, creating and sharing our work. Allowing self-promotional postings opens floodgates that could swamp all other content and change the fundamental focus of the main newsfeed discussion. The Alcohol Ink Art Community offers many other ways to promote your work.
Self-promotional posts will be deleted. Self-promotional posts are defined in these ways and are NOT permitted:
- Videos shared from your FB page or You Tube Channel or your website*. Instead, share videos on to the main discussion on FB directly to the group, not from your own FB page or Youtube channel
If you would like to have a video featured on the website/or AI community Youtube channel, submit it to our admin, Laurie Williams. Learn how to do this here: https://alcoholink.community/be-our-guest-blogger/
You can link to a Youtube video if it directly answers a question in the comments of a post. (ie. Replying to a question vs. the initial post )
Posts shared directly from your website are considered self-promotion. Instead, please share directly to the group. The one exception to this is: non-artworks links to your FB page are permitted. These are the ONLY posts you can share from your FB page. (Not items for sale. If your link mentions price or that it is for sale, it will be considered promotional.)
Please limit these artwork link shares from your FB page to no more than two a day.
Shares directly from Instagram or Pinterest are not permitted.
If you want to recommend a product or a coupon for a product that is not your own, that is permitted.
