Karen Walker is a North Carolina artist focusing on Alcohol Ink paintings and Maritime Oil Paintings.

As an ink painter, she is the author of 20 Projects for Alcohol Inks (release date January 28, 2019, pre-order available on Amazon.com) and has taught alcohol ink painting since 2009. She is currently offering a year-long small group or individually mentored class: A Year of Alcohol Inks, with start dates each season.

As an oil painter, she specializes in maritime paintings with a special fondness for sailboats.

She spends her time in her home and studio in Sanford and on her boat, Persuasion, in New Bern.
