The Alcohol Ink Art Community’s content is also provided by our team of Contributors and occasionally by guest bloggers. Contributors have access to post content, but do not have access to any user data, including yours.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The first thing you need to know is that we collect the minimum data needed from our members and visitors. When you sign up for an account with the Alcohol Ink Art Community, you provide your basic contact and billing information. We need this information in order to process your membership fees, keep you updated, and send critical information related to our service. You can edit this data under “my account” and/or request profile deletion through our account management area OR by email us at cs@alcoholink.community.
Data collected for membership:
- Name
- Billing Street Address
- Billing City, State/Province, Postal Code
- Username
- Password
- SIgn up date
- Membership Level
- any other data provide by you the user such as social media links, website links, graphics, etc.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with
The Alcohol Ink Art Community will only share your data with third party applications for the purpose of functionality and tracking.
- In order to maintain compliance with Anti-SPAM laws and optin management, we use MailChimp for email management. By opting in to our newsletter, you are agreeing to their terms and privacy policy. You can see the MailChimp privacy policy here. The Alcohol Ink Art Community and Mailchimp have agreed with a Data Processing Addendum in compliance with GDPR requirements for email list management and security.
- We process payments for Society memberships through Stripe and PayPal. Minimal data is shared with them, Name, Address, Email for security purposes in order to process your payments. View PayPal’s Privacy Policy | Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Payment data is stored on their servers for auto-renewal of subscriptions. The Alcohol Ink Art Community does not store credit card information (credit card numbers, expiration date or security codes) on our servers.
- Google.com (analytics) for tracking and statistical purposes
- MailChimp (email list management) membership level data is shared with Mailchimp in order to deliver relevant information to appropriate segments. First Name, Last Name, Email and Membership Level are the only information shared.
- Siteground who provides website hosting. All website data is stored on their servers. They are GDRP compliant. See their Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
Plugin: Smush Note: Smush does not interact with end users on your website. The only input option Smush has is to a newsletter subscription for site admins only. If you would like to notify your users of this in your privacy policy, you can use the information below. Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers. Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. That data is kept indefinitely unless the user requests that their data be removed. For removal requests, contact us at cs@alcoholink.community.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us using the contact details in this policy.

The Alcohol Ink Art Community or Trumpet Art does not sell, lease, or trade personal information to other parties other than those identified in this privacy policy. The Company strive to ensure strict confidentiality is maintained over personal information. Employees who deal with personal information are trained and required to maintain confidentiality over and safeguard all information used in their positions and comply with this policy.
If you’ve signed up for anything (free or paid) through our site, your name and email address are stored in our email service provider’s platform, called Mailchimp. Mailchimp is GDPR compliant as mentioned previously. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button in the email footer of any correspondence from us.
What data breach procedures we have in place
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. Upon our suspicions of a breach, we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.
