In the following demonstration from our YouTube Channel, artist and instructor, Laurie “Trumpet” Williams demonstrates a flowing abstract with Tim Holtz Ranger Inks and Metallics on NARA Synthetic Paper.

In the presentations, I will demonstrate just how easy it is to create a flowing and vibrant work of art.   I never get tired of this technique.  If you are new to alcohol inks, this is an excellent way to get started with ink.  Although I’m using NARA paper here, there are other substrates that can be used such as YUPO, Ceramic Tile, Kirkland Photo paper (back side), Ceramic Tile paper…. and the list goes on.   Basically you can create this on any non-porous surface!

I also find that if I’m in a “creative slump” (It happens to all of us.), I can do a series of these and I’m able to get my creative juices flowing.  It’s very therapeutic for me!   Enjoy!

Here is a list of supplies that were used in this video!
